(not to mention trying to coach kids' soccer) In his professional work, he has assisted many groups, in both large and small enterprises, bring about change. His abilities to contribute has been supported by his knowledge and insights around how we all individually and uniquely perceive and how we also individually and uniquely learn. The bottom line is that we each filter, interpret and respond to the same information differently and we each learn differently. Using these insights, he has been able to create processes for thinking and learning that ultimately contributed to the performance capabilities and the business results of many of the companies he has been involved with.
He started Learning Village after having had extensive exposure to educational software both as a parent with two young children as well as through the use of educational software in adult learning situations.
With his understanding of learning dynamics, he saw the different levels of potential value for quality software to enhance and enrich a young person's learning experience and personal development. With his business and communication background, he was also aware of the information and sorting challenges for teachers and parents around finding out about and choosing quality software.
Learning Village was developed in response to this issue. It is an emerging assembly of experienced educators, knowledgeable in the realm of educational software who are endeavoring to make finding, choosing and obtaining quality educational software an easier exercise for parents, families and teachers.
